Final update for JO... The update is apparently Incompatible with the beta version of it. Thats Nova for you.
Servers not running this update should be inaccessible. This is just hearsay, I didn't try it yet, so don't shoot the messenger...

This version version should come down automatically when you click update. If the updater fails to update itself, you can get the latest UPDATE.EXE here...

You can still host with 1.6.9.2 , i tried it. No problem logging into NW with the old .exe.
In case they change that too, they sure make a lot people angry.

A friend of my could´nt join almost any servers after update, Error code NCC007, after alot of trying we toke a copy of files in my game dir then it worked to play again,
i have notis that many players have this problem, so my questning are, Is it okej to put that files on internet for players to download or is it a risk with ex: CD key ?

When you instal this new JO thing, you can only play on servers that have this update instaled on host machine. All other servers (no update or still running the old update) simply won't work for you - you will get the NCC007 (james bond (IMG:http://nile.ecalpon.com/style_emoticons/default/wavetowel2.gif) ) error code. As far I have been told. (IMG:http://nile.ecalpon.com/style_emoticons/default/shithappens.gif)

Okay guys, give it some time. I couldn't get on CrazyBastards cause they didn't had the update yet.

After a while all servers will have the update. If not they cannot invite the customers cause of the non updated version...

Looking at all the reactions on Novaworld I decided not to update (at least not yet).
Unless they decide to update the servers on Hardmaps...

I'll keep an eye on it for a while...

Here I got something for everyone that already has instal the new JO update and doesn't want to re-instal JO. This is nothing new, it's only the old version of JO - v1.6.9 (the one you have been using until now).

How to instal:
1. Replace your Jointops.exe with the one you have just downloaded.
2. You can find the .exe in your c:Program files/Novalogic/Joint Operations folder.
3. You will need to setup your player and loadout again.
4. You can't play in any updated server using this .exe

1. Or rename one of the Jointops.exe file to JointopsX.exe and make a new shortcut to it. Then you can start up both versions. (not tryed it only read it. Don´t know how it works with [PBT] servers)

I have been having a fit with GM and this update. First it's on the server, then off, I can't get on, then can, then can't.

IMO, wait! Update only if the server you play on gets updated, you'll know because of the Bond error, lol.

If nothing else, copy your 'old' exe AND PUT IT ON REMOVABLE media.

I copied my whole folder to My Docs and then ran the updater and when I went to fetch the 'old' it was GONE. All other files remain, jointops.exe ~ AWOL~ (IMG:http://nile.ecalpon.com/style_emoticons/default/41616-4.gif) I think the updater ate it (IMG:http://nile.ecalpon.com/style_emoticons/default/yikessmile.gif) EDIT: No, it didn't eat it, operator error (I should have known) (IMG:http://nile.ecalpon.com/style_emoticons/default/lamo.gif)

HI i download the last update but when i go in game server, the server punt me and thats tell me : The server has punted you. please don't run any trainers, hacks, or other things that can destabilize your game play experience. Make sure your version is up to date (GDC 046). I go see in option for see if my help is active but they don't active and punkbuster is active and that do in all server i try to play

any unofficial mod such as:
"medic mod"
"combat mod"
"range finder mod"
or any others that change the game from standard is considdered a hack and youll be punted from servers...

if in doubt of how to remove such files, just delete your JO folder and re install (and update) JO again, including any authorised mods like IC , Reality , SG, Shock n Awe, IC:E.

You should be good to go then as you are sure to have a clean install and updated.....

One thing to note, the new EXE will set your "frame Effects" to maximum , if you see any wierd graphical glitches, just revert this setting back to "normal" as some graphics drivers have issues with the way the new exe handles this setting.

maybe i didnt stress this , but make sure you DELETE before re install as that would leave the problem files behind...

It seems Wolfrat 1.0.3.0 fails to work with this new update as well. At least I'm having connection issues since the update to my server machine. Luckily, I'm within 6 feet of the server and can make changes almost as quick as with RAT.

Quite right. Had to go in a re-setup the whole server computer, I'm glad I kept all those sites saved to have instructions. LOL

Babstats BMTV3 for JO available now, theres a couple of minor bugs to work out..........but nothing crucial.
